La Lanna Resort

The bathrobe in our villa looked nice, though it was a little small. That was a minor issue beside everything else. We spent two lovely nights at LA Lana Resort near Mae Kampong in a private villa, and it really felt like we were alone in the jungle, with no noise from other guests. It's right in the jungle beside a small river. The river sounds and nature around us made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with a real jungle feel. Staff were excellent, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had what we needed. They helped arrange a local driver to Mae Kampong village, which I'd recommend. The waterfall there is beautiful and worth the visit, and the little temple in the village was a nice bonus. Food at the resort restaurant was surprisingly tasty. I especially loved the Kau Soi, one of the best I had on my trip. We also wandered around nearby and spotted lots of local plants and animals, which felt like a proper nature immersion. If you're after a quiet, authentic jungle stay with excellent privacy, LA Lana is a great choice. Highly recommended!

The food was outstanding, honestly. The krapao, tom yum, and khao soi were among the best we've had, and every dish was prepared so well. Breakfast had both quality and variety. We've travelled widely around Thailand, and it's rare for Thai food to stay with us like this. Compliments to the chefs, they've made something special. 👏 We stayed in the “Fly Me to the Room” villa, and it exceeded everything we expected. The bed slid electronically onto the terrace, where we could lie under the stars with jungle sounds around us and the river flowing below. It felt like a dream. The villa was exceptional, with a private onsen-style jacuzzi and every amenity we needed. Its design felt luxurious but natural, letting us feel part of the surroundings without giving up comfort. The resort was thoughtfully laid out for privacy. Even when full, it often seemed like we had the place to ourselves. La Lanna left a lasting impression on my girlfriend and me. We've been lucky to stay at many exceptional hotels and resorts in Thailand, but this one felt magical, and leaving was genuinely hard. After a few days travelling around Chiang Mai, arriving in the Mae Lai area felt refreshing. The peaceful, charming setting was a welcome change from the city's constant movement. A beautiful river runs through the property, with birdsong, wildlife, and lush nature all around. It balances a deep connection with nature and the comfort of a high-end resort so well. The hospitality matched the setting. Drivers, restaurant staff, the front desk team, and the general manager were all warm, professional, and attentive. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, greeted with delicious mango sticky rice and local tea. Staff were always available to drive us around the property when needed, and the front desk was just a phone call away. Everyone was consistently kind and communicative, and their care made a real impression. Special thanks to Peach and Weerapat for making the stay so memorable. Thank you to everyone at La Lanna for such a happy and memorable weekend. We can't wait to return.

The food was lovely and the staff were super friendly, but we were disappointed by our stay at La Lanna. It felt like style over substance, and not a four-star experience. We arrived in the rain to find the bathroom completely flooded, with water coming through the ceiling light. Staff responded quickly and kindly, but their fix was to tell us not to turn on the bathroom light, which was disappointing. Then we had a broken key that needed fixing. The sliding door also wouldn't shut properly, leaving about an inch of space even when locked, so bugs and lizards could get in. The shower flooded when we used it as well. It wasn't worth travelling away from central chiang mai.

A stay at La Lana Caravan felt like a memorable change from a regular hotel. It's peaceful, a good place to get away from everyday noise, and I'd definitely come again. The caravan was spotless, well arranged, and carefully designed. Every detail felt considered, making it warm and comfortable while still private and relaxing. What stayed with me most was the calm atmosphere. It made me slow down and enjoy the moment, whether over a quiet morning coffee or outside on a peaceful evening. Cleanliness and hospitality both showed real care for guests. A lovely alternative to traditional hotels for anyone wanting a different sort of getaway. Highly recommended. 🤍
