Sippa Hotspring

I've been here many times and still want to come back, but the cigarette smell that lingers really ruins the experience. I'm not sure how strictly the smoking rules are enforced. Please address this.

There is a public pool and a private room with a large soaking tub, but the place looks run-down and hasn't been maintained well, with broken fixtures. It's also hard to tell what you'll pay because every amenity is charged separately. Admission is one charge, then massage and the public and private pools cost extra. Only foot soaking is included with general admission.

We stayed in a cabin with a private bath supplied with both hot and cold spring water, so you can set the temperature yourself. I highly recommend those rooms. The hot springs have three pools at different temperatures, plus changing rooms and showers. We were the only guests during our stay, and most resorts in the area had gone two years without customers, so I have to give the owners credit: the facilities looked good, and our room was clean and comfortable. The beds aren't soft, though they're adequate for most people. I'm always complaining about hard beds in Thailand, so these were okay. Breakfast was very good, even though they were serving just one couple. The staff are friendly. It's a generational business, and the area is fantastic, with many resorts and natural features within 30 min. I would recommend staying here.

The shared pool costs 200 Baht. The changing rooms seemed okay, but the whole area looked like it had seen better days, which I can believe from the pictures of the rooms and other facilities. The hot water pool is maybe 6x3m, meant for dipping your whole body. The other pool was closed because it was too hot, and there was nowhere to soak just your feet or legs. Too bad. We looked around and left for the other nearby hot springs.
