My family left feeling humiliated, like beggars, after being treated so roughly. I had paid for two nights but checked out angrily after the first, with no refund. I’d already paid the full amount, including breakfast, so why did it end this way? When I checked in, staff said breakfast wasn’t included. I remembered the voucher covered breakfast for three, checked it again, and it clearly did. I also called an AGODA agent, who confirmed it covered three people. The hotel manager promised to arrange breakfast for all three of us the next morning, and sorting this out took about half an hour. The next morning, I took my son to breakfast and staff handed us three boxes of frozen rice with soup. They said we could take them to the room, heat them in the microwave, and eat there. I refused. When I asked the manager if that was the hotel’s breakfast, she said yes. I was shocked. Since my first visit to Thailand in 2004, I’d never seen such a poor breakfast. About 30 minutes later, I asked to check out. I gave up the unused night and got no refund. It wasn’t worth staying, and my family felt we had to beg for breakfast after paying for it.

I was looking at condos for a longer stay and really liked these rooms. They’re laid out well, have nice furniture, and offer a beautiful view of the mountains and coarse. I’m still not sure about renting because of the distance to the city, but the rooms are really nice.

The rooms are large and the price is low, so my expectations weren’t high. This serviced apartment takes up the lower floors of a modern 12-storey condo behind a high-end golf club, about 25 minutes from the city. The saltwater pool is nice, and few residents seemed to use it. Getting around is harder: access is through the golf club, you’ll need your own car, and it’s too far for cabs or Uber. There are good places to eat within a 14-30 minute drive. Service feels low-end because the property is managed by a low-end hotel chain. Many surfaces in my room were dusty, and it wasn’t fully equipped: there were no kitchen knives, pots, or ladles, just a pan and spatula for eggs. The lights and wifi worked only intermittently.
