Him Suan Homestay

The staff were really kind and helpful throughout our stay. The place is beautiful, but a few things didn’t match what we expected. The water was barely warm, and the bathtub in the room was a regular one, not the hydromassage tub described on the website. Our tent was very clean, but a hole in the zipper meant it wouldn’t shut fully at the bottom, so insects could get in. Breakfast was fine, though it wasn’t à la carte as advertised. We also had trouble figuring out how everything worked. A note with breakfast time, food options, and things to do nearby would have been useful.

We went to Him Suan Homestay outside the busy season, and when the rain came, it really poured. Being eye level with the lightning was thrilling. The yurt bed was so comfortable, and I’ll remember that steamy hot bubble bath in the early morning for a long time. Thank you krab! The owner also gave us fruit from his garden for free. 11/10.

It was alright, though the atmosphere felt a bit like a hostel.

The peaceful setting and lovely views made this a great place to unwind. The rooms were clean and laid out well, and breakfast was good. For dinner, you can order a BBQ set or à la carte food, but the kitchen shuts at 8 PM. The two staff members, a man and a woman, gave excellent service. You can buy ice there, and it’s handy to pick up extra drinks or snacks at the convenience store before you arrive. The drive in isn’t difficult, though there’s a short, somewhat steep stretch for a little excitement. A car with 1500cc or more is recommended for a comfortable trip. I’d come back if I get the chance, and hope they keep up the quality of the rooms and service. You won’t be disappointed.
