My first glamping trip in Thailand was marvellous. I’d booked a room with 2 queen beds, but ended up travelling alone after my mom and sister couldn’t join because of some incidents. The room was clean and comfortable, parking was spacious, and from the balcony I could watch the sunset over a 180 degree mountain view. The sign was a little small and hard to spot, but that was a minor issue. I can’t take cold showers, so I was glad there was a water heater. Food ordered from the owner was affordable and delicious, with authentic Northern Thai dishes. Breakfast the next morning was included, mushroom porridge with bread, just right to warm me up. The owner was friendly, chatted with me, and recommended nearby tourist attractions.

Memory Camp suited our plan to get away from the city and enjoy nature. The bathrooms and toilets were spotless, and the water heater made for a relaxing shower. The host was friendly; we used Google Translate to talk, which worked fine for us. Dinner was tasty and enough for two, especially the meat grilled over charcoal, my favorite part. Breakfast was simple Thai meat porridge with coffee and bread, just what we needed. One thing to know: reception closes around 8 pm, and then you can’t find the host. If there’s an emergency, you might not know where to turn, so get her number when you meet her. Thanks! If you want a fancy 5-star hotel experience, you may want to look at other camps.
The staff were friendly, but we won’t return or recommend the place because of the poor breakfast: rice soup, 3 slices of bread, and no tea or coffee. The blanket was old and didn’t keep us warm enough in the cold weather. We asked for another one and were charged 100 THB, even though there were no other guests then.
The view was spectacular, and the location is only a few minutes’ drive from Ying Yong flower garden. The bed wasn’t especially soft, but it was comfortable enough, and the blanket was comfy. Each tent has its own bathroom with hot water, so no worries about showering. The staff were so kind and helpful with our questions and requests. We took a short drive at night to find a halal restaurant, and the staff can point you to one. Loved it!
We booked a room just to relax and recharge, since there isn’t much to do anyway. It was cold, with nice surroundings, though our tent didn’t have much of a view. The tent and bathroom were clean, there was a hot shower, and the mookata was delicious. I guess it’s a family business. We didn’t communicate much with the owners because of the language barrier, but they seemed humble and kind.
