The mountain views are beautiful, and the glamping tents make for a nice mountain stay, though they could use some care. The staff are friendly, but communicating with them was quite difficult. Breakfast is included and very basic; beer and chips are also available. They can bring a Thai BBQ to your tent. Or you can walk about 15 minutes to the village for restaurants, coffee shops, clothes, fruit, locally made wine and vodka, and plenty more to look around at. There’s no shuttle, so plan on paying roughly 500 baht per person for the hour-long taxi ride up or down the mountain.

The service was excellent, the bathrooms were good, the tents were in good condition, and the scenery was impressive. Still, compared with the last homestay I visited, the view felt less appealing. There are lovely mountains and landscapes, but it was all green, without flowers or much color. The room was nice and convenient as long as you keep the door closed at night to keep bugs out. Breakfast was pleasant, with coffee, juice, and some snacks. The bathroom did its job, though the water was really cold. The food was okay, and our mookata meal turned out well. Mornings were very cold, and it rained a lot for us in the afternoon. Once it got dark, the temperature kept dropping.

The views are amazing, but getting here takes care. The entrance is hard to find, the homestay is deep in the mountains, and the roads are narrow, so you need mountain driving experience. I rented a car and would recommend doing the same. There’s no Grab, taxi, or local transport, and no restaurant on site. If you go a little uphill, there’s another homestay with a restaurant on the left side of the entrance road. Our villa room was nice, though we had to keep the AC running at a low temperature so the floor wouldn’t feel sweaty. It can get quite chilly when it rains. This may suit a couple, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a family with small kids. It’s a homestay, so you’re fairly much on your own. There are very limited supplies, and the staff didn’t speak or understand English at all, even translation tools didn’t work for them. Breakfast was just steamed rice, egg, and juice, so stock up on food and water before checking in.

The view was good, and the atmosphere was nice. It’s basic accommodation, but worth what we paid.

Had a really fun time! Next year I’ll bring plenty of mosquito spray and coils, plus extra blankets for the porch hammock since they get damp outside in the dew. Hand warmers would be useful too. I’d also pack extra charcoal to keep the meat-cooking clay pot fire going, which was a lot of fun, and eye drops because the wind dried my eyes out quickly while I was stargazing.
