Landmark Maha Sarakham

After visiting family, this is a good place to stop for the night. The shower room is large, and breakfast in the morning has both Thai and Western options.

The small ants are worth watching for. They leave you alone if there’s no food around, but they quickly found the insects on my motorcycle jacket and went after them. The room itself was big, and the hotel still looks pretty new and well kept, probably about as high end as the area gets. Breakfast was a nice surprise with lots of good choices, especially the Patongkoh. The cappuccino was odd, though, since the milk hadn’t been warmed. I’d probably stay again if I came back.

Parking was available for around 10-20 cars inside, with extra space out front that was big enough for buses. There were two room sizes, ฿600 and ฿1100. I took the larger one, and it really was big. In summer, the 18000-BTU air conditioner needed about 3-4 hours to cool it down. The Thai-style breakfast was quite impressive.

The room was huge, with a balcony, and it was clean, with fresh air too. I liked the big air conditioner and the two free bottles of Namtip water. Breakfast was free, haha. Just be aware that it’s about a 200-meter walk from the main road.
