Baan Ratchiangsaen

Such a lovely room, though it was a bit noisy. We're in our 60s, so it felt more suited to younger people visiting Chiang Mai.

We were very happy with our three-night stay. The room was spacious, with a big, firm but comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom had plenty of room for our things, and the daily water and cleaning arrived promptly. It's a quiet spot, but still an easy walk to the Old Town. The pool was a nice way to cool off after a day out, though two sun loungers aren't enough for the whole hotel. I'd recommend it if you don't mind walking a little way into town.

The pool is nice, and being just outside the old town makes the location pretty convenient. The hotel doesn't offer much help with services, though: reception can't arrange laundry or book tours. Adding an extra bed costs quite a lot, so booking a second room may be better value. Still, it's not a bad hotel overall.

It's a budget stay that feels worth the price, though the location isn't especially convenient. The staff are helpful, but their English is limited. My room was okay, but not very clean when I arrived, and there was no safe or lift, which made handling a large suitcase difficult. Paying by card adds a 3% charge.
