De V Loft Hotel

The location is very convenient, right beside The Mall, but the room was disappointing. There was a mouldy smell in the toilet, the beds were hard and uncomfortable, and each single bed had only one pillow. I was sharing the room, but they issued just one key card.

The front desk was a pleasant surprise: all the young women spoke fluent English. The room was clean, large, and comfortable, and breakfast was okay. I was glad to spend three nights here, between The Mall and a huge night market, so there was always something to do. [edit, 5 years later] The night market behind the hotel has turned into a covered food court with seating and music that played until midnight. I'll come back next time.

The reception and breakfast staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and good for a fair price. A big mall and a night street food market are about a three-minute walk away. Whether that's a good location depends on what you prefer.

The staff were great and helpful, and it's a short walk to the mall with free parking. I didn't try breakfast. I'd recommend a room facing the mall, since music plays on the other side until midnight. The toilet door in my room was really odd, a sliding door that didn't close all the way.
