We didn’t try breakfast because we’d heard it wasn’t worth the trouble, and there isn’t much around. The staff are friendly, though. The roomy bungalows sit around a small pool. It wasn’t especially clean, but clean enough that I let my kids swim without any problems. The air conditioning was fine, and the bathroom was worn but usable. Water pressure was too low to fill the huge tub in a reasonable time, though the shower was okay. We were lucky to have the whole bungalow park to ourselves. I’d read elsewhere that some guests have company parties nearby with karaoke late at night. Each bungalow has a fridge, microwave, kettle, plus plates and cups for four.

The little lakeside bar had a lovely Christmas-in-winter feel when the temperature fell to about 14°C. Flaming vodka shots and a wood-burning campfire helped keep us warm 🔥. It’s worth a visit, and pretty cheap too.

There’s a big lake nearby, along with plenty of places serving tasty, inexpensive food. The grounds are spacious and guarded, and it’s a quiet, peaceful spot to relax.

You get waterside views from basic outdoor tables at what’s little more than a roadside eatery. The classic Thai food selection is excellent, including papaya salad.
