Twin Lotus Hotel

The staff and service were a real problem. At the restaurant and bar we had to keep calling for basic wait service, and most staff don't speak English, so be ready to use a translation app. They also seemed untrained for a hotel presented as four-star, especially at this price. I was there for a three-day conference and tried the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Food quality varied, but most dishes were mediocre. The local Thai food was especially disappointing, and buffet dishes were usually lukewarm. Twin Lotus is a large hotel for conferences and weddings, but it feels more like three-star than four-star. It's a long way from central town, which makes exploring Nakhon Si Thammarat inconvenient.

The people at the front desk don't speak English, and they don't seem trained as professional hospitality staff. Other staff did try their best to help, which is what the stars are for. This isn't a luxury hotel and it badly needs improvement. The Wi-Fi was so unreliable I couldn't even watch a basic YouTube video. Water pressure was very weak, so I had to flush several times. There was just one outlet in the room, and the elevators were very slow.

The room was clean and I was impressed overall. The restaurant service I experienced was fantastic, though some items were quite expensive. The location is prime, with a reasonable room price, a convenience store just opposite, and lots of restaurants nearby.

I ended up extending my stay three times because I really enjoyed the place. I spent almost three weeks in a junior suite, and it was very quiet. The room was nice, with a safe, couch, desk, robe, slippers, kettle, and coffee. The staff were excellent. I'd recommend it.
