The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the lake was right outside our room, with kayaks available for free. We had a problem with the door lock, but it was replaced within half an hour. The life jackets were worn and could use an upgrade. It’s a lovely spot in the mountains for a quiet family weekend.

Even over the long weekend, it still felt quite private. The setting at Great Escape is cozy, and I’d recommend a deluxe room for its homey feel.

The free canoe and bicycle were nice to have, and the place was clean with lovely food. It got a bit hot during the day.

The staff were really enthusiastic, and the hotel looks newly built. They even have shared ofo bikes here 😂 How did those get here?

A great spot for kayaking and bird watching. The hospitality was even better than I expected. It felt like paradise!
