Horizon Beach Resort Koh Jum

The atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful, and the room by the pool was great. We stayed at Horizon for four nights. The room was spacious and clean, and the service was really good. We were there during rainy weather, so I can only imagine how nice it must be when it’s sunny.

We stayed in bungalow no 7 at Horizon, with a beautiful view of the pool and sea. The sea is right beside the pool, and the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed the stay. We rented a tricycle there, the WiFi was good, and laundry service was available too. The weather was rainy and cloudy, so hopefully it’ll be sunnier next time 😎

The rooms are really nice and spacious, and the pool has a good view. The food was okay for lunch too. Great stay, and the price was fair. I recommend it.

We booked a fan room as advertised, but when we arrived it was dirty, unkempt, and in poor condition. It looked like a budget option for backpackers, so we upgraded to air conditioning for an extra 300 Baht per night. That evening the power went out, and we had to move rooms in complete darkness. When we asked for compensation, the receptionist seemed annoyed and said the extra charge was a management decision. The handyman was the one bright spot. He helped us with a flashlight during the outage, but that small gesture didn’t make up for the experience. The pool looks nice, but staff there weren’t attentive or proactive. There were sticks all over the area and leaves covering the beach. The goggles for rent were partly broken and overpriced. It felt like staff cared only about guests in the more expensive white villas and neglected people in the cheaper bungalows. With the poor cleanliness and service, I don’t think this place deserves to be called a resort.
