Koh Jum Delight has a lovely location, with a beautiful beach and good sun exposure, but our stay was disappointing and we wouldn't recommend it. Joy Bungalow Resort, about 200 meters away, has a similar beach and view and is where we'd suggest staying instead. We noticed signs of bed bugs and small blood stains on the bed. Staff said the stains were old and caused by sunscreen, but there were also clear signs of moisture damage, especially on the mattress, which concerned us. Service was slow and unpleasant. We were the only three people in the restaurant when we ordered chicken sandwiches and a burger, yet it took approximately 45 minutes. One order was wrong: we got two beef burgers instead of a chicken sandwich. When we raised it, the waiter rolled their eyes and insisted that was what we had ordered.

We ended up returning for a second, unplanned stay after spending just under 3 weeks here across two visits. We'd tried four different rooms, all well maintained, clean, and comfortable, with good newer AC and great beds. It's very kid-friendly, the beach is probably the best on the island, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, but lunch and dinner were a bit so-so, so we took the motorbike to eat elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The couple of lunches we had there were nice, but the beach bar could have been better run. They offer a full bar, though there was no happy hour, and often it looked closed because staff were sitting low behind it. The bathrooms need some care, and the toilet beside the bar for everyone's use was in really bad condition.

The kids are still saying they miss Delight, even though we left less than a week ago. We loved our stay and would definitely plan another visit. The hospitality was great, and the location by a beautiful beach was excellent. Even with children, we had plenty within walking distance, including restaurants, mini markets, cooking classes, and small shops. Renting a scooter was easy for the days our legs felt tired.

We ate at the hotel once and the Thai food was authentic and tasty. Breakfast was okay. The staff were friendly, and the small rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel sits by a beautiful, long beach.
