Krabi Beachfront Resort Oceanside Suite

The place was so peaceful, and the view was phenomenal. It felt great to get away from the crowds. The property looks a little old, but everything was nice. We had a small issue in our room, and Ms. Windy took care of it quickly, which really impressed me. Ms.Fern, the chef who made eggs at breakfast on January 4th, also made a great impression on our family. She was polite, humble, and always smiling. She made our morning.

Service was very good, and we found it well worth staying here with family. Arawan is a nice place to relax, with reasonably spacious rooms and an okay breakfast. It's quite far from Ao Nang and the city centre, and Grab can be hard to find. I'd suggest spending more time enjoying the hotel's facilities and booking the free shuttle to Ao Nang city centre.

The main pool by the restaurant had leaves, dead bugs, and sediment floating in it, and the buffet breakfast was just average. Although the hotel advertises itself as a beach resort, we only saw the water; perhaps it was low tide, but the view didn't look very nice. There is a shuttle every few hours to Ao Nam Mao starbucks, and from there you can go to that beach. We chose to take a boat to Railay instead. Our room on the "mountain side" was the biggest problem. It didn't feel like a 4 star room to me, more like a 2 star room, maybe 3 at best. The shower had almost no pressure, the bathroom seemed really dirty, and the AC was weak. It only worked while we were in the room, so we were hot all night even after turning it on at 7pm. The slot for powering the room was a different shape from the one most hotels use, so I think the key needed to have the attached device. That was unfortunate. Check-in was fine. They stored our bags in the lobby but didn't offer early check-in, and we got an orange juice as a welcome drink. The service was fine, and the price was good compared with other similar hotels in krabi. Still, as an American tourist near the end of our trip, I was disappointed with both the room and the property. I wouldn't stay again and would tell people to look elsewhere. Even at that price, I'm sure you can find better accommodation.

The beach view was superb, and we were lucky to get a room on the 2nd floor. The view was great and the pool was cool, so we had a really good stay. Service needs some work, though. They didn't provide a welcome drink, and when I asked for an extra towel after swimming, I had to wait a long time and ended up waiting after my bath. They eventually brought it after many FU.
