Piman Pu

We hardly left during our two-night stay at Piman Pu. The grounds were so peaceful, and the food at the attached Ganesh restaurant was fantastic. It felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves. We were there to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it feel special.

The quiet, beautiful beach and surroundings made this feel like a hidden paradise. We stayed four nights with our two children, aged four and two, and they had a great time. The staff were very friendly, and special meals for the kids were no problem at all. They loved the swimming pool too. The villa has a lovely design and is really nice, though it could use some maintenance. It has air conditioning, hot and cold water, and the small restaurant serves excellent food that’s all fresh and homemade. One thing to watch out for: the monkeys. Don’t leave anything outdoors when you leave the house, and shut the doors and windows, or they may take over. I’m not sure they’ll clean up after themselves!

The whole crew made us feel so welcome on this beautiful island. We were able to relax, laugh, and have the best travel experience of our Thailand trip in Koh Jum and Koh Pu. The housekeeping was consistently good, everything was generally very tidy, and they even arranged to pick up and return our laundry right at the door. The staff were always ready to help organize activities and transport, including jungle hikes, island hopping by boat, and our ride back to the airport. Ganesh’s bar had exceptionally delicious, varied, fresh food and drinks. They took our family’s special requests, sensitivities, and food intolerances into account, and even gave us a little cooking class. We’re sorry we couldn’t stay longer and hope to come back one day. A small request if you visit: please give some food to ‘Berta’, the reddish-brown street dog with broken legs who lives on the private beach. She doesn’t bark and is very kind and shy, like a pet dog.

We stayed two nights in the one-bedroom villa at piman pu. It was a very luxurious, relaxing visit, with a lovely high ceiling, a massive bed, plenty of extra amenities, and use of a nice seawater pool. Everything was perfect.
