Purin Resort & Restaurant

The villa was rusty throughout, from the bathroom fixtures to the furniture, and there were cobwebs in every corner. It felt dirty and abandoned. There was no front desk to help, no room service, and the staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful when we had concerns. I booked a beach-facing villa at Purin Resort and Restaurant hoping for a relaxing stay, but it was one of my worst experiences. The location information was misleading too. They say Ao Nang is only 15 km away, but the poor roads and remote setting made the trip take over an hour. For the money, this place isn't worth it. There are much better options in Krabi with proper hospitality and cleanliness. Avoid it.

The service was good, and the sea was lovely for a swim. I'd recommend the beachfront villa with a swimming pool, which had a very nice, large room. The bathroom and shower could use an upgrade, though. The resort is quite remote, so having your own transport is a good idea.

Breakfast was okay, but the place was very far from anything else in Krabi and I wouldn't recommend it for the price. It looked nothing like the picture on Agoda. The hotel is run down now, and cleanliness was nowhere to be seen. Our carpets were stained, and there was dust and dirt in many parts of the bathroom.

The only drawback I noticed was that in low season, ocean currents bring a lot of garbage onto the beach from other places. Otherwise, it's a very good spot for a few quiet, relaxing days. I stopped in to look around, and the manager showed me the cute rooms. I stayed for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful resort. The pool was clean and deep enough, the sunset view was lovely, and the food was delicious. I had Pad Thai, the best I've tried so far in two years in Thailand.
