The directions are a bit awkward because the address uses Tambon, which doesn’t work in Google Maps. Searching for PTT Pai gets you there, since it’s right across the road from the station. The room was charged at 650 baht, though it felt like a 300 baht room. There’s no kettle, the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve slept on in Thailand, and you’ll want bug spray. The staff don’t speak English.

It’s a basic, quiet room with the necessities, nothing fancy. Could’ve been cleaned better, though for this price it was acceptable. You can reach the night market and restaurants in about five minutes on foot. It’s right beside a gas station, which is handy if you rent a motorbike.

The walk into town took us around four to six minutes, and we liked passing the cheaper food stalls and restaurants set up for locals along the way. We were a couple staying four nights in a roomy private air-conditioned room with its own shower and toilet. It came to 2,600 baht, a little expensive for the area, but worth every baht to us.

The rooms are good for what they cost, and Walking Street is only a short walk around the corner. The shower heater does feel like an antique, though 😀

The bed was clean, but there were spider webs all over the bathroom. There’s no shared living room or other place to relax. I wouldn’t recommend it.
