Haus Hotel Udonthani

We found it far too expensive for what you actually get, especially since there are much better options for the same or less money. The shower is terrible, the pool is tiny, and there’s no exercise room. It feels like the middle of nowhere, with nothing around, and the thin walls let you hear everything in the neighboring rooms. For coffee in the morning, they leave a pot of hot water, a jar of instant coffee, and a spoon. The hotel is close to the airport, but downtown is only 10 minutes from there, so being 5 minutes closer isn’t worth giving up amenities and service or paying more. It also offers no refund if you check out early and leave. We did that, and they kept our money. This hotel wasn’t at all what it claimed to be.

The room was nice, with a good view, and the location near an airport is good. But it’s opposite their Pub Baron, where live music makes it impossible to sleep before the pub closes at midnight. It might look like a nice place to stay, but it really doesn’t suit an overnight stop when you need to rest.

There are seven floors and a rooftop pool on the 8th floor. The rooms are inexpensive and clean, and it’s near the airport. Internet worked well, and the breakfast buffet was good, with Thai food, bread, and some cereal. My room had a small fridge but no water kettle or coffee cups.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the location near the airport is handy with a free shuttle. Breakfast was fresh, though I’d have preferred fresh coffee over Nescafé.
