Pai Panalee The Nature Boutique Hotel

The resort grounds are a nice, quiet setting, and the staff were friendly. Our check-in went very smoothly. The bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well, though the water had a strange smell. We didn’t mind. They also have a room for a family of four.

We paid 600 baht a night and thought it was a good deal for two nights. For a longer stay we’d probably pick somewhere else, but our rating overall would be 9/10. It’s about 1.2 K from the town centre, close to everything, and the gardens are beautiful. The property was very clean and well maintained. The coffee is self-serve, with bread, peanut butter, jam, and bananas for breakfast. The staff were amazing, 10/10. They were so helpful and even gave us a free ride to and from the bus station. Room 001, the standard room, was a 7/10 for us. The bathroom was very small, lacked a mirror, and wasn’t well arranged. Light came in because the windows weren’t blacked out, and the car park lighting shone into the room. It was also noisy at night since it backs onto a shortcut. Maybe the deluxe rooms have a better layout.

The staff were kind and gentle with us, and they were nearly always around, which made me feel safe. Oum takes good care of the place and does what she can to help. There are also three kittens on the property. My room felt private and peaceful, with birds in the daytime and frogs at night. The grounds are green and carefully maintained, with lots of plants and a bamboo tree. Everything was very clean, and someone was regularly tending the garden. The furniture was lovely, even down to the personalized cups and mugs. My bed was comfortable, the toilet was spacious, and the room had good A/C, a fridge, and a hairdryer. Breakfast was small but nice: fresh fruit, bread, biscuits, tea, and coffee from a good machine. There was even a little oven to warm something up. This was my favorite place to stay in Pai, and one of the best hotels I’ve tried in Thailand.
