The palm walls do very little to block sound. Pai is a party town, so we heard every group walking by, many of them loud and drunk, late into the night. The cleaning and bathroom condition could use improvement. It's a good spot across the river, within walking distance of the main road, with simple bungalows around a pleasant green area.

The room is small and has no air conditioning, but that seems fair given the low prices. The garden in the middle is beautiful, and the person at the counter was helpful and nice. It's in a good location, quiet but close to the bridge into town. Recommended for a budget trip.

The guesthouse made our time in Pai amazing. Em, the owner, is so nice, and breakfast was great. The room was very clean, with no bugs, and the hot water worked really well. It's a quiet, calm place, only a five-minute walk from the main walking street.

I was visiting a friend who rented a place here and sat outside on a chair to talk. An employee came over and rudely asked if he could help. I said no, thanks, and he told me in the same rude way that I couldn't stay there. I hadn't even considered staying, but with that attitude, it would be the last place I'd choose. Avoid.

We came for five nights and wound up staying nine. The bungalows were lovely and clean, and had mosquito nets. Breakfast was amazing, with the best pancakes we've ever had. It's just outside town, with an easy 5-10 minute walk straight to walking street. We haven't found anywhere quite like it in the rest of our travels around Southeast Asia!
