The owner was kind and amazingly efficient, and all her attention to detail made my stay easy and memorable. She even booked my bus ticket and picked it up for me. The hotel is well run, with cheaper rooms by the road and nicer ones looking over the river and jungle. The early morning cocks were the one drawback, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. I’d highly recommend the place, and the National Park tour they suggested too. The guide’s enthusiasm rubbed off on me. I wasn’t much into birds before, but now I’ve started watching for them.

The staff were kind and easy to approach, and we enjoyed the brewed coffee with breakfast. The hotel has a beautiful, peaceful feel, and our room was cute and clean.

We rented a bike from the very kind owners to get to the national park, and it worked well for our three-night stay. The room was basic, just what we needed. The staff and breakfast were wonderful, and the riverside hangout area is amazing. The cats are cute, but they’re shy, so only pet one if it comes over to you. Highly recommended.

There’s river access and a jungle feel around a great room. Next door is a museum collection I’d never heard of, with enough to explore for days.
