Villa Baron Hotel

The rooftop pool has nice views and is fine for a short swim or sitting around. Kids have swings, little bikes, and a small play area up there too. The staff member who cleaned my room was smiley and nice, though the receptionists weren’t very welcoming, as many reviews mention. I paid 2,800 baht for four nights with breakfast, about 700 baht a night, and I loved the food. My room faced the main road, which was too noisy for me. I hope I can ask for a different room next time. It was also opposite the cleaning storage room, so I heard the card sounds and prep noise from around 7:30 in the morning. The key card system seemed broken. My friend in the next room had the same trouble. They put a paper card in my lock instead, but it made a tick-tick sound every minute and was really disturbing. My two single beds had been pushed together. They were okay, but not very comfortable, maybe a 6 out of 10.

There’s a nice pool and kids’ play area on the roof. The hotel sits beside a deserted side road. The smoking spot is just two plastic chairs in the parking lot.

The price is good, and the hotel has useful things in the room, including a hair dryer, kettle, fridge, water heater, TV, air conditioning, and balcony. It’s also not far from the main road and the market. The facilities are handy, but the place looks old and could use maintenance. There was fungus on the bathroom wall tiles. The person at the front desk was friendly when I checked in. At checkout, the staff member told me to move from the front desk to her desk so she could return my deposit, instead of taking one step to hand it over. That felt below standard.

I stayed in Room 715 for two nights, January 22 and 23, 2025. It was pretty clean, and the location was convenient, close to both the morning and night markets and handy for visiting our friend's condo. The room had two bottles of water a day, coffee, a kettle, a small fridge, and a hair dryer. I didn’t use the appliances, so I can’t comment on them. Just one bath towel was provided, and I couldn’t get an extra one.
