Cupid Hotel

The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a nice hotel in a small town, with a restaurant, coffee shop and food market nearby. I wouldn’t pay extra for Deluxe over Superior. The supposed mountain view wasn’t really a mountain view, and there wasn’t much difference from the city view.

The room was clean and inexpensive, and this place did the job for our overnight stop while heading back to Malaysia. We booked a deluxe room with an extra bed. That bed was just a thin mattress on the floor with a light blanket, so you might want to ask for another one. They initially wanted to charge extra for it, but agreed after I said the blanket provided was too thin. Decent enough for one night, nothing more. It seems to cater more to local guests.

The main street is an easy walk away, with restaurants open for dinner. And, in a very Thailand sort of detail, I counted three 7-11 stores within a kilometer. There are several room options at reasonable prices. It’s the town’s only hotel, but I thought it was well worth the money.

We paid just under $700 baht through Agoda, including fees and taxes, for a room with a small balcony. Booking directly with the hotel costs a little more. The hotel was elegant and sparkling clean, which was a lovely surprise. A street market was bustling the night we stayed, with amazing food choices and friendly people.
