After a few trips back and forth across Thailand on my motorcycle, I stayed here four times. My first impression wasn't much, but I grew to appreciate the place and its open, unassuming feel. It's basic, clean, and well run, and the two housekeepers are friendly and easygoing. Prices are lower than at most nearby places, and the beach is better than you'd expect. It's also an easy spot to meet travelers passing through, with several good-value restaurants a little inland. I found myself missing it and I'm sure I'll come back.

Bicycle friendly, and just 450 metres from the beach. I had such a magical stay that I added an extra day. The owner is a fabulous woman with a wild sense of humour. My room was huge, spotless, and had double doors opening onto a balcony, plus a fridge, TV, and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet and peaceful. There are places to eat within walking distance. You have to stay there.

The ladies were so helpful when I needed to get back to town on a Sunday and couldn't find a taxi or Grab. The rooms are big and clean, and the beach is only a few minutes' walk away. There are a couple of very good places to eat nearby, too. Really good value for money, and the hospitality made the stay.

The room was spotless, and they brought coffee and fresh bananas every morning. It's about a five-minute walk to the beach. The woman who owns the hotel was gentle and polite, and always found a way to help with my stay. If you're going to Thung Wua Laen Beach, stay at Albatross’s hotel. Thank you so much, Mama ❤️ Alex
