Clean Wave Resort

Breakfast took ages to arrive, so the kitchen could use another pair of hands. The bungalows were clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. The bed was a little hard, though not the worst we’ve had in Thailand. There was a sewer smell in the bungalow fairly often, possibly a plumbing issue, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out.

The owner kept scolding me while I washed my car, saying the water cost money and that other guests might do the same and waste it. A staff member had already told me where the water pipes and car wash were. I said I only planned to wash it once, but the owner kept insisting I couldn't use the water. After that, they made me leave just because I washed the car. It was pathetic. I had booked one day online and paid cash for the next few days. The hotel asked me to move from a twin room to a single room to make space for me in the twin. My child and I wanted two beds, so I agreed, and even tipped the staff 100 baht for changing rooms. I stayed a week in the smallest room and paid 1200 baht a night through a cash app, the same as my online booking. Once, I paid for two nights but accidentally sent 24,000 baht. The hotel refunded the extra after I caught the mistake, but I later realized the owner had seen the payment record and hadn't told me.

The beach is just meters away, and this is a wonderfully peaceful place to relax. We spent a week here and wished it could have been longer, so we’ll definitely return next year. The receptionists were helpful and friendly, and the staff knew how to look after guests. The bungalows are lovely inside and out, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, and they’re clean and well cared for. The grounds are well maintained, with beautiful grass. There’s a huge outdoor cabana and plenty of beach beds with umbrellas. One of the best resorts we’ve visited.

We were lucky enough to get the only bungalow right on the seafront, with direct beach access and a large, comfortable balcony. The other bungalows sit in a peaceful garden across the road, around 50 meters or more from the sea. The garden is quiet and pleasant, and the staff are super friendly. It’s a lovely resort on a glorious beach. We tried a few beachfront restaurants, but none impressed us.
