3Plus1 Hostel Patong

Good for a budget backpacker needing a quick snooze and a recharge. Each bunk has its own light and socket, which is handy. The facility is passable but not well maintained, and there were cobwebs on the top bunk. The tiny “cell” room has two sets of bunk beds and is about as wide as a queen bed. Think four sleeping pods with curtains instead of walls.

The only real plus is the location, close to Patong’s main clubs. The rooms are tiny, windowless, damp and smell of sweat. When I stayed, it was boiling because the AC was stuck at 26 and the remote was missing. The mattresses are leather, and the loose sheets slide off within minutes. I ended up sweaty, stuck to the leather surface, and having one of the worst nights of my travels. My sheets clearly hadn’t been washed, smelled bad, and had bed bugs. Definitely don’t stay here unless the cheapest hostel in Patong is all you can afford.

There’s no social atmosphere, and the service was bad. It took them about 20 minutes to find my online booking confirmation. The rooms have no windows and are very damp, with cockroaches beside the bed, bed bugs, dirty sheets and an open elevator shaft. This may be the cheapest place in Patong, but hygiene and safety should still matter. Pay a little more and stay somewhere safe ✌️

We stayed just one night because the room was humid and wet. Even the bed linens were damp, which felt unhealthy and dangerous. The plastic leather mattress was very dirty and stinky. There’s no room for luggage, no windows and no fresh air. The only option was a very cold AC that couldn’t be adjusted.
