APK Resort

Rahul at reception was a big part of what made us feel welcome. He was friendly, professional, and attentive, spoke excellent English, helped with our luggage, shared local tips, and took care of our small requests quickly. Our Superior Room at APK Resort Phuket was spacious, clean, and well equipped for the price. It was around 269 sq. ft., with a refrigerator, electric kettle, and a private balcony where we could unwind after sightseeing. The pool was a nice way to cool off too. It’s a great location, just a short walk from Patong Beach, Bangla Road, and Jungceylon Shopping Center. For a comfortable, functional room and such helpful front desk service, it felt like genuine value in the heart of Patong. The room exceeded our expectations.

The AC problems made our three-night stay miserable. On the first night it didn’t work until 4am. We complained, someone checked it, then left us in the hot, humid room saying an engineer would come at 8am. Nobody showed up that morning. They eventually fixed it, but on the second night it leaked water for hours, soaking our shoes and laundry bag. After the third night we were 20 minutes late checking out, and they charged us 200 Bhat. We politely explained that the last two nights had been so bad and asked them to let the short delay go. Staff were rude, kept repeating that it was policy, and wouldn’t listen. They could have given us an extra hour after all the discomfort, inconvenience, and uncooperative, unsympathetic treatment. They didn’t respect our request. The reception staff may also steer you toward a room with no view by saying your booked room has no balcony, then offer one with a balcony facing a dirty drain and HT electric pole. The listing photos don’t match the actual property. The pool is right beside a dirty drain, and you can’t even stand there comfortably, though it’s presented as a nice place to swim. Please don’t ruin your vacation by staying at APK RESORT. There’s nothing resort-like about it.

The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The rooms are pretty average, and the pool doesn’t look like it does in the pictures. It’s full of weird, shady people and feels very cheap. Rahul checked us in and was really rude and impolite. The jacuzzi wasn’t working properly, and there was no privacy there. Some weird uncles in the next room were trying to take videos and so on. Please don’t book this hotel.
