Bliss Patong Modern Studio

The rooftop pool has a great view, and the suites are huge, clean, and well maintained. The hospitality was really kind too. It's a two-minute walk from Patong Main Street and five minutes from the beach. Just be aware that getting to the hotel means climbing a steep hill, about 70 meters and roughly 100 steps, so it isn’t suitable for disabled guests. For younger people, though, it’s worth every penny.

We had a peaceful stay in a room with a nice window view and good soundproofing. The pool is a highlight, with lovely views and a relaxing feel; the gym is small, but handy if you want to exercise. It seems like a good place for a longer visit. There were a few frustrating bits. The bathroom smelled unpleasant, and we couldn’t adjust the air conditioning with the remote because the unit wasn’t working properly. There also wasn’t a permanent staff member handling arrivals and departures. No one was there to greet us when we arrived, and leaving the room at a different time than planned caused complications. The comfort and amenities are there, but service and maintenance could be better.

The rooftop pool was really cool, with a great view, though you have to climb a flight of stairs to reach it, and there’s no disabled access. The hotel is on a high hill, so walking up is hard for older people; a car or motorbike is another option. Our first impression wasn’t good. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, but the room wasn’t ready and we waited more than 1 hour and 20 minutes to check in. The room design was nice and it had a balcony, but the air conditioning compressors were also on the balcony, adding heat and noise to the natural heat. The TV remote didn’t work, and we waited until Friday noon for a replacement. Cleaning was busy and late, so it took three days to get fresh towels and changed bedding. The staff were really friendly, but service overall was lacking. Sorry for the review, but that was our welcome.

The rooftop infinity pool looks out over Patong, and the complex has night security plus key card entry. These are modern, up-to-date apartments in a fairly new building, with flat screen TVs and cable. The accommodation is very good and well managed, and both the general staff and cleaning staff were excellent. It's close to major shopping, with the beach a short walk away.
