Hallo Patong Hotel & Restaurant

The rooftop pool was a highlight for me, with decent views of the city and mountains and a nice spot to cool down. Staff at reception and housekeeping are generally helpful, even though the facilities feel a bit old. The location is handy too, around a 3-5 minute walk to Jungceylon Shopping Center and 10-12 minutes to Bangla Road, close to things but not right in the noise. For a 3-star hotel in Phuket, the price is usually competitive for budget travelers.

The deposit alone felt unreasonable, 500 baht on arrival for a place with standards this low. The rooms are tiny and old, and the dated windows let in so much road noise that sleeping was almost impossible. The online photos don’t match reality. The air conditioner barely cools the room, and breakfast was just rice, eggs, and low-quality bread. On top of that, the manager was rude and no help. Very disappointing, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The location is right in the heart of Patong, and breakfast was solid. Staff were friendly too, but you have to remind them if you want room service, as it doesn’t happen automatically. I was there three nights with my parents. They were really happy with their room, while mine, H53, was fine but could use a few fixes: the AC cooled slowly and the wardrobe door stuck. Just a heads-up, there’s also a 500 thai baht key deposit. Good experience for the price.

We had a pleasant stay, with a clean room, lovely breakfast and courteous staff. The price felt reasonable for the quality. One suggestion for the hotel’s future: more vegetarian choices would be appreciated by customers from around the world. Best regards, Kumar Marchetti
