Clarion Hotel Patong Beach

The room wasn't ready until 2:45 PM, despite the 2:00 PM check-in time. We were told they needed longer to check everything carefully, but on arrival the safe needed new batteries and the balcony door wouldn't open. Maintenance spent 30 minutes with a drill replacing part of the lock. There were also problems with the TV and magnetic door lock. I booked a Deluxe King Room with Balcony and expected at least a little view, but the balcony looked straight at the one opposite, about 3 meters away. There was no privacy. All the room types had the same furnishings, with only a couple of meters of length and the view differing between them. The shower was either cold or boiling, never even lukewarm. It made every shower miserable for over a week. They moved me to another room and sent maintenance several times, but the water problem was never fixed. The gym was barely bigger than a corridor and looked out onto a warehouse. By the pool, there were only three pairs of loungers and very little space around them. That space was also used to reach the only restaurant, so the pool was effectively off-limits. The restaurant served international and Indian food, with live music on the terrace every night until midnight. Luckily, we had earplugs.

Nada and the reception team were very kind to us, and I’d happily stay here again. The breakfast was fresh and had good options to choose from. Restaurants, outlet stores, the beach, and local attractions were all close by. I spent a full week at the hotel and loved it. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet after long days out. Staff were warm, attentive, and ready to help. It was a wonderful experience.

I booked the one bed king suite with city view and was very happy with it. It was clean, spacious, and had all the advertised amenities I needed. The team were amazing, always smiling and ready to help. They took time to ask how I was and whether I needed anything, and as a solo male traveler I felt like I was staying with friends. Thanks so much, James, Nan, Pang, Wawa, and Film, you’re an amazing team! For solo male travelers, the reception has a thorough ID check for overnight visitors you might bring to your room. If you’re unsure whether your visitor friend is Female or Male, reception will tell you, so you can make an informed decision. This is a great place to stay for beach and nightlife. If I visit Phuket again, I’ll definitely return to Clarian.

I loved staying here. The hotel was clean, had great service, and the staff treated us with respect. It’s close to everything, including the beach and restaurants. I’d like to thank Nada for the lovely surprise she arranged to celebrate my sister’s birthday. She was very friendly and treated us so well. Thank you to the staff.
