Le Cartier Guesthouse

The location worked perfectly for us, with everything we needed within walking distance. It was a 12-minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to Bangla Road, nearby markets, and a shopping mall. We’ve been travelling for eight months, and this is the best place we’ve stayed so far. The staff were always friendly and welcomed us when we came and went. Our room was clean, and the cleaners left bottled water, shampoo, and soap every day. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the fan and AC kept the room cool and fresh. There was also a fridge for snacks and drinks, plus a smart TV for Netflix if you have your own account. The shower had hot water and good pressure.

The place is about a 20-minute walk from Patong beach, with a market nearby. I stayed four nights and found the room and bathroom exceptionally clean. It was small, but comfortable and good for couples on a budget. There's no lift, though the staff helped carry my luggage up to my floor. They provide mineral water and bathroom supplies daily, and the room cleaning was good. The little breakfast room was very cute, with free coffee, tea, biscuits, Milo, milk, cornflakes, and cakes. There's a 7-Eleven within walking distance and a very nice massage place opposite. For a longer stay with kids, the lack of play space might be an issue.

The rooms are nicely set up, with clean interiors, clean bathrooms, and the things you need. The only drawback for me was the lack of a lift. Patong beach and a 7-Eleven are both really close and easy to reach, so you don't need taxis around here.

The little cafe on the ground floor was lovely, and I had a wonderful stay. The host was very polite, and the staff were helpful and knew their stuff. My room was spacious. Patong Beach, Bangla Street, and Jungceylon are all less than a kilometre away. If you're visiting, try the Thai food and fried chicken from the street vendors beside the 7-11, which is around 50-60 metres away.
