Lub d Phuket Patong

I only stayed two nights and was out and about, so I didn’t join the group activities, though they looked like a good time. The pool, bar and lounge were really nice. The pool area closed at 10pm on both weekend days I was there, and I wish it stayed open longer. I was nervous because this was my first hostel, especially about cleanliness, but the place was kept well. The bedding was clean and good, the showers were pretty clean, and the water was hot. I slept fine, though you should expect people moving around and coming in and out. If you need a completely undisturbed night, a hostel probably isn’t for you. I’d come back alone, with a friend, or with my husband. I’d recommend it for a good quality hostel in a convenient location.

The pub crawl was fun and well organized, and the guide made sure everyone felt included. Yaya at reception was especially welcoming and made check-in easy. I stayed in a dorm, which was clean, comfortable, and nicely arranged, with a good feel for meeting fellow travelers. It’s a lively, social place with a nice mix of comfort and fun. I’d recommend it if you’re in a dorm and want to meet people.

There’s loads to do around the lobby, from the open gym and bouldering wall to table tennis, pool, and swimming. The cafe beside the pool is great, and the service is really good. The vibe is fantastic for young international travelers. The location is hard to beat, with three seven-11 shops next to Lubd and Patong beach just a few steps away. From now on, this will be my regular place whenever I visit Phuket.

It’s easy to meet great people here, and there are enough activities to keep things interesting. We also loved the co-working space since we work remotely. The rooms are very clean and well equipped, and the central location is still quiet. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We’ve stayed at Lub d in Manila and Koh Samui, too, and keep coming back. One of our favorite hostels, highly recommended!
