Memory 2

The cat is probably the main reason I’d return to Memory 2. It was so gentle and friendly that I still miss it, and the nearby white cats seemed well behaved too, though I don’t know if they belong to the hotel. That said, I had a pretty good three-day stay this month for a two-star place, and I hope the owner sees this feedback. The room had plenty of space, and I liked the decoration. The entrance had the look of a Chinese house or restaurant, which gave the place a distinctive feel. The young woman at reception was pleasant and helpful. Most of the reception staff were friendly, though one Indian receptionist working during a shift change didn’t come across as very polite. He could speak Thai. There were ants, as other reviews have mentioned, but they didn’t bother me much. The dim lighting did. Both the fairly large room and the bathroom felt dark, and brighter lights seem like an easy fix. I also found the stairs unsafe: the steps were unusually high and narrow, so I had to take care going up. Wider steps would feel safer. The hotel was still quite good overall. If I come back, it’ll probably be for that cat, the hotel’s real Brand Ambassador.

The room was big, the place looked stunning, and the view from the balcony facing the mountains was wonderful. Watching the sunrise made the five flights of stairs worthwhile, even with no elevator. I loved the open-shower bathroom, and the bed was firm without being hard, so I slept like a rock. The location worked perfectly for me: 14 min on foot to the beach, and 7 mins each way to great street food markets and other activities. They’re sweet at the front desk and let me leave my luggage. They’ll clean the room daily if you want, and always provide 2 free bottles of water. There’s a tea pot, and the wifi is awesome. I’d stay again without hesitation. 100/10 recommend!

Really good value for the money. The room and bathroom were clean, and the staff were very good to deal with. They even let me have a guest over for a couple of hours. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and it’s close to a seven eleven. The beach is around 18 mins away on foot.

The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to Patong Beach, so I could enjoy the sun and sea every day. I spent 10 nights here and was very happy with the whole stay. Everyone was nice and helpful, from reception to room service, and made me feel welcome and looked after. The room stayed clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Phuket. Highly recommended!
