The pool area was a pleasant place to unwind, and although the hill is steep, it wasn't too bad. The room's air conditioning did work, but setting it to 25c around 9pm meant it didn't reach that temperature until about 3am. Its outdoor unit was fixed directly to the wall and caused obvious, loud vibrations. The room fan looked so unreliable that I wasn't sure it was safe to switch on. The gym equipment was in rough shape: both treadmills were broken, the weights machine cable was barely holding on, and the old exercise bike made an awful racket.

The place was quiet and not too busy in the off season, and I had a great stay. My room was perfectly fine and got cleaned daily, even when we slept late. It was always done by 2:00 pm. The pool was lovely, and the setting was peaceful. For the small price I paid for a week, I hadn't expected much, so the location was a nice surprise. The steep road is the one drawback. I was glad I had hired a car instead of having to walk up it. Stefan and one made my partner and me feel at home, and went out of their way to help. They even offered to cook anything I wanted, whether or not it was on the menu. They were lovely, and I'd happily come back. The staff were helpful and fun to talk with. Thanks again to Stefan and one, and to Poppy for making all the cocktails and making me smile so much.

The price seemed reasonable, but the service and facilities didn't feel worth it to me, and Patong has better options in the same budget. The worst part was being charged for a bathroom glass that slipped and broke within 10 min of my arrival in the room. It had been packed tightly in plastic. Staff insisted I pay in cash instead of understanding what happened. I refused and asked for a receipt. There were several other problems. The room was dim, so reading in bed at night wasn't really possible, and the shower is only a few inches from the toilet, leaving you to dry everything after each use. Wi-Fi never worked in my room, even after I asked for it to be fixed. People smoked freely by the pool, making the air very smoky. A street-facing room also gets motorbike traffic noise, while the corridor noise comes through the door at any time because it isn't soundproof. The access road is extremely steep and, in my opinion, dangerous if you're not used to riding a scooter. I can't recommend this hotel.

I loved staying here and would happily come back. The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but very, very comfortable. The food made in-house is good, and the customer service is excellent. The staff are sooooo sweet and narak, I can't praise them enough. One practical thing: bring a 3-pin plug adapter, since all the plugs 🔌 are 2-pin.
