Sky Wave Patong Hotel

Getting to the hotel was rough. At 3pm, rush hour traffic from the airport took nearly four hours to reach the edge of Patong beach, so we walked three miles from where we got out of the taxi. Arriving felt like reaching heaven’s gates. The shower was wonderfully hot with great pressure, and the sheets were squeaky clean. Being farther from the Bangla road commotion made us feel like locals, and there were cute dogs and hundreds of street food options nearby. At Sky Wave, the front desk staff were the friendliest ever, and it felt like staying at a friend's house. The hotel seems to draw people in their 20s and 30s, which we loved, and there were no kids around. We walked all over Patong beach. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We went up to the roof every day for snacks and the view, though the rooftop jacuzzi would have been nice if the water had been hot or it had been turned on. We didn't ask about it. Grab taxis know the place and pick up right outside. There are free bananas, coffee, tea and a microwave in front of the lobby for a quick breakfast. We'd stay again 10000%.

The sea view from the balcony was lovely, and I liked the cozy feel of the hotel. The young woman at the front desk was very kind. I had booked a room with a balcony bathtub, though I didn't use the kitchen that was also there. The water pressure and temperature were fine, and it was very quiet. The bathroom lighting was really dim. I'd like to come back and recommend it to friends. Thank you very much.

Modern, clean rooms at affordable rates. Probably the best price for what you get in Patong.
