The Hill Resort

The only small plus was the free coffee and bottled water. That couldn't make up for five miserable nights, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. There was renovation noise right beside my room, with banging and hammering every morning. A drunk guest also kept disturbing us one evening, and staff did very little. I found management rude and unprofessional. The shared areas were dirty and full of ants, mosquitoes, cockroaches, and lizards. I was badly bitten in the room and on the balcony despite using repellent, and when I asked for the room to be cleaned once, staff flatly refused. The kitchen was in a common area, but its gas didn't work. I'd already chopped my vegetables, and when I called for help, staff tried for about a minute and then left me stuck. Check-in was complicated and frustrating from the outset. The room seemed to have several facilities, but nearly everything cost extra, which made the place feel unwelcoming. It was one of my worst travel stays.

Su at the front desk was really friendly. She made sure I knew I could come to her with any room problem and that she'd take care of it. The scenery all around was beautiful too.

We got a great sunset view from our room, and the location is cute. The outside, pool, and friendly staff were all nice. Inside could use some work, though: there was mold in the shower and just one small blanket on the bed. At 25 USD a night, I can't complain too much. You get what you pay for.

Lots of trees around, a view of the pool, and a really quiet, peaceful feel.
