The Villa Residences

My room was comfortable, with a clean bathroom and a bed that was just right for me, firm but not rock hard like so many in Thailand. There was a working fridge and kettle, local terrestrial TV, plenty of plug sockets, good A/C, a proper enclosed wardrobe, and a little balcony. The WiFi was strong, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere lovely. This family-run hotel is right in the middle of town, but set back enough for a peaceful night. The French owner manages it on site with his wife, and their children, cats, dogs, and feathered friends are part of the place too. There’s an attractive bar and dining area, a pool table, darts, a TV, plus a small pool with sunbeds and a gazebo. It’s about an hour from the airport and, in my opinion, one of the best value stays in the area.

It’s a quiet little spot tucked away from Patong’s chaos, so it feels like an oasis. I had a steak and really enjoyed it. The staff were excellent and friendly. Definitely recommend.

My plans changed, so I didn’t end up coming to Patong or staying here. They were happy to give me a full refund anyway. Thanks so much.

It feels cozy and clean, and housekeeping comes every day. Our important belongings were left untouched, so I felt I could trust them. It’s not an elegant five-star hotel, but it feels like home and has all the amenities. The host is extremely friendly and can arrange tours, airport pickup and drop-off, and scooter rentals. There’s laundry nearby too, so you can pack light.
