Pattaya Centre Hotel

The hotel is right beside the beach, but I wouldn't recommend it. The room didn't match the price: the shower didn't work and none of the sockets worked. Room service found some alternative way for us to bathe, but said the socket couldn't be fixed until the next day. Our booking was only for one night. Some staff also had a below-standard attitude.

The location was the only reason I gave it two stars. The room was large but below average and not very clean, and the service was awful. We booked on the hotel's own website, but when we arrived they seemed to have lost the reservation. We waited more than an hour for a room, and reception staff weren't friendly or even apologetic about the mix-up. The location is great, but don't expect nice accommodation from the staff.

The location, view, and breakfast were nice, but the staff were unfriendly and the room cleaning was poor. They didn't dust or wash the floor. The internet was still PATHETIC three days later, downloading at 2Mbts, even after I raised it with them again. The bath water also wouldn't drain, the AC didn't work properly, and neither the phone nor TV worked. I checked in at about 21:00 to a dirty room with a strange smell. There was toilet paper under the sheets, which makes you wonder what had happened in that bed. The staff couldn't be bothered to clean or inspect it before giving me the key card. I complained at reception and they sent someone to look, telling me to wait. Fifteen minutes later I went back downstairs, and both the receptionist and the guy meant to handle my complaint were just sitting around. He was watching a show on his phone. After that, they gave me a better room where everything worked, though the internet was still terrible. So, readers, don't be fooled by the online photos. If you still book this hotel, insist on seeing the room first. Welcome to Pattaya Centre Hotel.

The main plus is that it costs relatively little, and the beach is nearby. But the property itself isn’t appealing, and everything feels old. The staff don’t seem professional, and breakfast fell short. If you’re used to cozy places, you may be disappointed.
