Anantra Pattaya Resort by CPG

It's a quiet, simple place, with nothing fancy about it, and the staff were professional. We booked through Agoda. The hotel refunded our security deposit before checkout. The location is handy for most of the main activities in central Pattaya. There's no guest pickup, but reception will kindly give directions if you get lost. Our simple room was clean, had good air conditioning and faced the pool. The bathroom was clean, with instant hot water, and fresh towels came daily, though toiletries were limited. We didn't use the pool, but had breakfast beside it one day. Breakfast was simple and okay. The main annoyance was being charged for an extra coffee, sugar or cream sachet when we asked for one. Overall, a good stay.

I left after one night and moved to The Glow, which cost just a little more and was unbelievably better, new, clean and comfortable. This place felt more like a guesthouse, and it badly needs renovation. My room was ramshackle and the bathroom was really nasty. I felt physically uncomfortable there. The woman at reception was kind of like a mamasan, and her English was very limited. The breakfast was bad too. The room was spacious enough, and the pool looked nice and clear, though I didn't use it. I don't want to call it horrible, but it was a terrible place to stay.

The place isn't fancy or pretty, but the staff are friendly and helpful. For the location, the price is good.

Good value for money. We stayed one night as a family, and the rooms were neat and clean. You can reach the pool from the balcony, and breakfast is available at the hotel, with nice American and Thai options. Nearby attractions include Terminal 21, Art in Paradise, BIG C, and the beaches.
