Angket Condominium

The pool isn’t maintained, and I got an eye infection from the water. I had to make two hospital trips, which cost me 6,000 baht. The pool showers don’t work, and the toilet showers aren’t much better. The gym is very old, there are damp patches and holes in the ceiling from leaks, and when something breaks it can take ages to get repaired. The staff were lazy and scruffy. They mostly seemed to take turns sleeping or avoiding their duties, and one bucket was used to clean the whole floor. Don’t stay here. We rented a 52 sq m unit because our apartment was being renovated and we got a good deal, but we had no idea the staff would be this useless and unbelievably lazy. It’s a total dump, almost as bad as the nearby Jomestic condo.

The rooms at Angket Condo are clean, pleasant, and peaceful. Jomtien Beach isn’t far away.

There’s a lot of stories around the place, and it has a swimming pool. Compared with many other places, it’s a good option for a stay.

Angket Condominium was completed in 1994. It’s an 18-storey building with 207 units, a mix of studios and one-bedroom condos. It stands on Soi Wat Bun Kanchana 10, about 750 metres from Jomtien Beach, which draws tourists, expats, and local Thai people. ★ MyPattayaCondo ★ offers 360° virtual tours of the project and apartments, along with resales and rentals. The common facilities include a hotel-style lobby, reception and lounge, plus a ramp and drop-off point. There’s a shared pool, gym, mini-mart, and conference room on the second floor. The building also has three high-speed passenger lifts, covered parking, and 24-hour security with key-card access and CCTV. The apartments have private balconies with decorative steel railings and views of the pool, sea, or city. Studios have Thai-style built-in kitchenettes, while the larger one-bedroom corner units have bigger kitchens. Bathrooms have tiled or granite sink counters, white oval porcelain sinks, cabinets beneath, and vanity mirrors. Depending on the unit, there’s either a shower or a bath. Studios have one slim air conditioner and one-bedroom apartments have two, with the compressors mounted off to the side on the balconies. Flooring is ceramic tile, either 30 by 30 cm or 60 by 60 cm depending on the unit, and ceilings are gypsum board with atmospheric lighting. Nearby, Tesco Lotus Express, Seven-Eleven, and the local fruit and vegetable market are a three-minute walk away. By car, it’s about three minutes to Jomtien Beach, six to Tesco Lotus, Outlet Mall, and Macro on Sukhumvit Road, and ten to the Floating Market or Walking Street. Pattaya Beach and Central Festival Shopping Centre are around 15 minutes away, as are Mimosa and Pattaya Memorial Hospital at about 15 and 16 minutes respectively. Phoenix Country and Golf Club, Silver Lake Vineyard, and Golden Buddha Mountain are about 20 minutes away. U-Tapao International Airport takes around 40 minutes, and Bangkok about 90 minutes.
