Baan Pakdi

I booked two nights but left after one, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The photos have been photoshopped. I paid £30 a night here, compared with £40 a night for a luxury stay at the Manhattan hotel. My room was dirty, with boogies on the walls, and the view of piles of rubbish was absolutely terrible. There must be nightclubs nearby because the noise at night was awful. I'm still aching from sleeping on a bed that was less comfortable than floors I've slept on. At £10 a night, fair enough, but this was pricey and absolutely awful. Don't be fooled, guys. Zero stars and false advertising.

The reception madam was excellent and very supportive, and the staff were excellent too. Rooms were very clean, and it was good value for money. I'd like to visit again and again. There's no food service, the only drawback, but plenty of restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

We booked through Agoda, and the room was a nice price. They have laundry and a free dining room for coffee and sandwiches. The kitchen counter in the room is really just for washing things, though.

A private, clean hotel and good value for the money.
