A fun place, away from the main street and nice and quiet. The rooms are clean and well kept, the host is great, and there’s a shuttle service. You can also rent a scooter on site.

The room was clean, and we got two free bottles of water each day. That was about all I liked. We booked four nights but left after three. Our spacious quadruple room was for two adults and our one-year-old, and we’d expected to push the beds together since there was no crib. The bed frames were concrete and fixed to the floor, and the mattresses had springs I could feel. The sheets felt like cheap polyester. Thin curtains let in lots of early morning light, and the doors and windows did little to keep out noise. We heard dogs barking at night and roosters in the morning. The shower was cramped by a partition wall. At the basin, the tap only ran while you kept pressing it, so you could use just one hand. The woman handling check-in, check-out, and breakfast was kind, but spoke only Thai, which made communicating almost impossible. Breakfast came with the booking, but there was no buffet or choice. It was a set plate with two omelets, two pieces of toast, two small boiled sausages, and what seemed to be two slices of prosciutto. No fruit or juice, just a sachet of instant coffee. There were no lunch or dinner options either. The location was good, though the island is small, so lots of hotels probably have that advantage. For what we paid, it wasn’t cheap. I’ve stayed in places ten times better on islands like Crete or Sardinia for the same nightly price. This could work for an emergency overnight stay, but I’d look at other options first.

We paid a high price for an old guesthouse and a low quality room. At night it was so noisy I couldn’t sleep, because the cheap windows didn’t block any sound. The motorbike was already very old, and the staff didn’t explain the rental clearly. We picked it up at 4 pm, but the next day they said it had to be returned by 11 am at checkout. That didn’t feel fair. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy an island holiday.

The location is peaceful but close to bars and restaurants. Rooms are roomy enough and comfortable for a night or two, with a fridge. Ours had a good sized patio with a table and two chairs, though there was no closet for clothes. The English hotel name is marked at the turnoff, but not at the property itself, so you’ll have to ask around. The AC worked well and quietly. The bathroom was narrow, and there was barely enough soap for half a person. Staff don’t speak English, so communication is difficult. Breakfast was pretty awful to me, though that’s a matter of taste, and it won’t suit vegans or vegetarians.
