Bella Villa Metro

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good layout, though it looked quite old. The pool was great, the beach is very close, and there’s a pleasant breeze here that you don’t get in much of Pattaya. Breakfast had a good selection. If you only need somewhere to sleep and plan to be out most of the day, the location, pool, and room size could work. But the staff’s consistent rudeness and lack of communication really dragged down the stay. We booked Bella Villa Hotel, but no staff were there when we arrived. One very rude employee pointed to the next hotel and said, “There! There!” It turned out we’d been placed in Best Bella, which was confusing and never explained properly. At check-in, the receptionist didn’t make eye contact, seemed angry, and explained nothing. I had to ask about breakfast hours, the pool, laundry, and other basics. Staff ignored questions and waved people away as if telling them to leave. I’ve never experienced such consistently rude behavior. They took 500 baht for one key card, which seemed excessive. We repeatedly had to ask for soap and clean towels. Beach towels weren’t provided automatically; you had to collect them at reception only between 9 am and 10 am, and if you missed that, staff said it wasn’t their problem. We got just one very small roll of toilet paper for two days. Bring your own to be safe. We were meant to get two small glass water bottles each day, but sometimes got one or none. The water from the “water fountain” smelled and tasted like mud, like the sink water, and didn’t seem safe to drink. At breakfast, staff threw plates aggressively into carts while clearing tables, sometimes breaking or cracking them. Many cracked plates were washed and used again, which felt disrespectful to guests and hotel property. At checkout we were charged 10 baht for a glass water bottle we’d put in the trash. Apparently bottles had to be left outside the room, but nobody told us. If there are so many rules, clear written instructions in the room would help.
