Charm Hostel at Pratumnak

Avoid this place. They charge 500 baht for the key card, then inspect the room and keep your deposit if they find even a tiny bit of mess. We had a little makeup on the sheets, which should wash out easily, but staff brought the sheet down to reception. It was awkward and they were very rude. Another couple at the desk was being treated the same way. It looked like they do this to everyone to get extra money. I've never been treated this way anywhere. Don't come here.

The room itself was clean and had a decent design, but the smell was awful, like sewage, poo, and mold all mixed together. The stairwell entrance smelled the same. I wouldn't want to stay here for long.

The garden and outdoor pool were my favorite spots, a nice place to relax after being out all day. It's also an easy walk to the beach. The hostel looks new and has a beautiful design. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place has everything you need.

The location was a plus, close to the beach, shops, and markets. We had a really good time here, but the way checkout was handled and the staff's rudeness at the end left a bad last impression. Checkout was meant to be at 12. A cleaner arrived at 10:40, seemed surprised to see us, apologized, and left. Twenty minutes later, a man knocked and opened the door to tell us to leave. We asked whether checkout was at 12, and he agreed, but still made us leave around 11. Then we were told to wait at reception for a room inspection for 20 minutes before getting the key deposit back. The pool was disgusting, brown-green and dirty.
