Everything else was fine, but the cold shower really bothered me. There was hot water at the bathroom tap and in the kitchen, so I followed the pipes and found a heater under the sink. The pipe to the sink tap carried hot water, while the shower pipe seemed deliberately blocked so it delivered only a little lukewarm water, nowhere near enough for a comfortable shower. I’m not exaggerating, there was hardly any difference. It felt like an ugly way to save money, especially since we paid 3,500 Baht a day, the long-holiday rate.

The beach is only about 700 meters away, and there’s a swimming pool too. We booked through Airbnb for nine people and found it a wonderful place to stay. Go ahead and book if you’re after a really good place.

Really lovely place, clean and well looked after, with full privacy. It can fit up to 10 people, and it’s very economical. Worth the money, two thumbs up.

There are cozy bars nearby, plus Pratumnak hill tempel, a running road, and an outdoor fitness park. It’s also close to a nice little beach, not Jomtien, and a reasonably priced waterpark.
