De Lunar Resort Koh Larn

It's a picturesque little resort, not too far from the ferry terminal, with fairly spacious rooms and large beds. It makes a nice place for photos. But the mattresses were thin and hard, and the blankets had faded stains. When we checked in, there were several strands of hair on the sheets of every bed. The bottled water in the fridge isn't free, so bring your own drinking water. The shower head kept turning toward the wall because of how the hose was shaped and fitted, so I had to adjust it constantly. That was annoying, unless you prefer holding the shower head while washing. You can also hear outside conversations quite clearly. Guests gather in groups by their rooms, and the walls and sliding glass door don't block much sound.

We chose this cute-looking resort for our young children, who liked the “motorhomes,” but the free ferry pickup never showed and none of the listed phone numbers answered. The staff were cold and unfriendly. The motorhome looks great in photos, but wasn't comfortable, with no sofa or loungers, and the driver's seat doesn't swivel to face the others in the room. Outside lights are controlled externally and left on all night, making the room very bright while sleeping. Maybe it's fine for relaxed Thais, but I wouldn't recommend it to foreigners.

A great place with small children. The big family bed fits the parents and two little ones, with enough space for everyone. There's a fridge, kettle, and zipline for wet clothes. They also provide a dish for having dinner outside in front of the accommodation. Breakfast was all perfect 👌.

It could be a five-star stay if they checked that basic supplies like tissues, soap, and toothpaste were in place.
