A surprisingly lovely stay in Pattaya 🤍 The hotel is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent, with a bathtub. Breakfast was much better than I expected, and the atmosphere throughout felt calm and welcoming. The hotel is on the main road, about a five-minute walk from Terminal 21 and Central Marina, and around ten minutes from the beach.

I thought my motorbike had been stolen this morning and was about to call the police. Then I found it, and I was completely dumbfounded. A hotel staff member had moved it to a blind spot where the CCTV cameras couldn’t see it. The staff member then looked at the camera once, as if checking that the bike had been put in the blind spot. I can’t help suspecting this might not have been innocent and that there could have been an intention to steal it. The person responsible was on the night shift and is now home asleep. Another staff member apologised on their behalf.

I stayed one night. The hotel isn’t very modern, but it’s still nice, and the room was clean and quite spacious. There are connecting rooms, though I’m not sure if they work, so ask the staff. The location is good, with a few night markets around the hotel, Terminal 21 nearby, and the beach within walking distance. Gracias ~

The hotel itself is nice, but be careful with valuables. The room door locks seem easy to attack and open.

The staff were always ready to help, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and fitted with modern amenities. I also found the location a great base for exploring Pattaya. I had a fantastic stay at the Empress Hotel and would happily recommend it for a relaxing visit.
