Garden Cliff Resort and Spa

The staff were kind and helpful, and the first impression at reception was pleasant. The pool area is nice, though it gets little sun for most of the day, and you shouldn’t expect sunshine on the balconies either since they stay shaded all day. The gymroom is terrible, a complete disaster. Breakfast is Asian style, so go elsewhere if you want ham and cheese. The rooms have become worn with time, and the cleaning wasn’t up to standard. This may once have been a five star hotel, but age and use have taken their toll. I’d recommend Pullman G instead, which is also in this area. I wrote about my visit there a few years ago.

I’d stay here again, though I have a few things to mention. The restaurant juice is sold as freshly squeezed, but it seemed to be mostly sugar water with just a little fruit. At 150-170 THB, I didn’t think it was worth the price. During breakfast, the waiters made a lot of noise collecting dishes, and the clatter hurt my ears. The hotel could also use more lounge chairs. The neighboring hotels have so many chairs on the beach that they really outshine yours.

Our family trip at Garden Cliff Resort & Spa was meant to last three days, but the lovely evenings, tasty food, relaxing stay, beautiful setting, and wonderful night music convinced us to add two more. We came away with so many family memories to treasure. I’d sincerely recommend Garden Cliff Resort & Spa to families visiting Pattaya for a peaceful, memorable vacation.

A little distance from central Pattaya is probably the only downside, though they provide free shuttles to Ternimal 21. For a five star hotel at this price, though, I don’t think anything can beat it. The resort is family friendly, with a great swimming pool and a nice little private beach. We tried both the family suites and the rooms with swimming pool access, and both worked wonderfully for the kids. There’s a wide breakfast selection with Eastern and Western food, and the SPA is nice, reasonably priced, and has excellent masseuses. Highly recommended, especially for families.
