Grand Bella Hotel

It's an older hotel, but it's maintained properly, the location is good, and you can come and go at any time. The rest of the stay was fine. The problem is that everything has a charge, even a dirty glass. They take a cash caution deposit after the booking amount and agree to refund it at checkout, but they won't return it for even a small issue like a dirty towel or a little stain on the bedsheet. It feels like a trap for tourists. I got my full refund, but my friends weren't as lucky. You only get two bottles of water per day, then they demand a high charge for extra bottles.

The location couldn't be better, with the beach, bars, and Central Pattaya shopping mall all within walking distance. I booked five nights at Grand Bella Hotel with breakfast included, but the breakfast was so-so. The main swimming pool was closed for maintenance during the very busy period near New Year.

I had good memories of this hotel from about eight years ago, and the location is still good. But the service is bad now, and I won't recommend or book it again. Staff were unfriendly and terrible, and hygiene was poor. The air conditioner smelled and didn't cool the room. The shower room was dirty, and water pressure was low, so washing took a long time. There's no soundproofing, either. I could hear the next room's doorbell and the table chairs scraping around like crazy. I don't even want them to clean my room. This place is making my good image of Pattaya worse.

Could you tell me whether there's a security deposit at check-in, how much it is, and if it's fully refundable? I'd also like to know whether early check-in is possible if I arrive before the standard time, and whether there's an extra charge for it.
